A quest for perfection! ⛳️”

I vividly remember a sunny spring evening in England: I had just played my round on a beautiful golf course. While still enjoying the moment, I looked out over the now almost deserted golf landscape. The sun was setting, the sky turned orange, shadows grew longer, undulations became visible. The day was coming to an end and the last golfers were leaving the course. For a moment, everything seemed to fall silent and come into harmony with each other. In that harmony of peace, nature and tension, I felt it: this is the golf course in pure perfection. This is the moment for me to go back onto the golf course as a photographer.

Walking across the deserted golf course, I see how compositions emerge that naturally lead your gaze to the flag. From my intimate perspective as a scratch golfer, I capture the unique fusion of architecture, nature, and the sport of golf.

From a young age, I preferred to be behind the camera, capturing memories. Sport, and golf in particular, is a common thread in my life. On the golf course, everything comes together for me as a photographer and as a golfer: the challenge, the search for perfection, and nature.

As a scratch golfer (handicap +1.0), I have learned that perfection rarely comes naturally. It requires patience, discipline, and the ability to keep looking anew. Playing with and embracing environmental factors (nature, wind, rain, sun) are continuous challenges in both golf and my photography; constantly seeking perfection as a golfer and photographer.

My passion / photography is more than a registration of a sport or a landscape; it adds a deeper layer to the sport of golf, one that often goes unnoticed. It is a quest for balance and harmony: nature, the beauty of the man-made landscape, and the tension of the game. Every golf course is an infinite canvas for me; every day different, every round unique. Capturing the perfect golf photo feels like a hole-in-one, where everything comes together.
